CNY, all dressed up and no where to go

Saturday, January 28th, 2006

It’s Chinese New Year again, which means a good income for moi, and a whole lot of visiting relatives which aren’t really related to me and enduring a longgggggg awkward silence as they try to start empty petty conversations. Yet here I am all dressed up and no where to go. It’s already 3.45 and not a single house visited yet. My prayers have been answer. But on the downside, no extra ang pows. Damn. I guess we can’t have everything.

Oh well, I guess this pretty much all I have to say. Till next time.
Cheers!

DnD

Wow, first official Dungeons and Dragons session. It was…… meh.

On another note, I’m beginning to hate Mandrin. Why the hell does everyone I work with speak in Mandrin? Yes, yes I know they’re chinese and thats their mother tongue, but have they never heard of English? SPEAK TO ME IN ENGLISH DAMMIT! And so now begins the long tedious process of me trying to learn to speak Mandrin clumsily. Dammit.

But this week has been pretty good, I sold an iPod Nano and a leather case, so… more muulah for moi. : )

Ok, tired right now, I have to go watch some X-Men so I can fall asleep.

Good hunting.

Started work today at Apple Corner, Prangin. Work was fine up to closing time. Had to carry 6 heavy doors to lock up the place. Have to stop here, arms going to drop off……

Happy New Year

Its 2006 already? How time flies….

Kicked off the new year with loads of sleep followed by a bowl of hokkien mee. Then me and Damien went job hunting at Gurney. So we went to stores asking for jobs but the stores I was interested in working with weren’t hiring. So we went to Apple Computers to ask for a job, at first I thought, I’m using Windows and know less than nuts about Apple computers but what the heck? A job’s a job. So we finally worked up the nerve to ask the guy about the job and now we both have to write resumes, which I don’t know how to do. And so now I’m stuck here thinking of what to write under education background. Poo.

Later, we took a bus to Prangin and my choice workplace there was either Starbucks or any games store. The games store either weren’t hiring or wanted females (GAAHHHH!! How many girls enjoy video games?) while Starbucks only wanted full time, long term workers. *tear* Oh how I wanted to work at Starbucks, the aroma of coffee……… Sigh…… I suppose I could have lied to the manager, but it never came to me at that point, and not it’s too late. Sigh.

Oh well, back to writing my resume I guess. If I get a job I’ll be sure belanja anyone who has read this blog. And just to make sure, give me this number to confirm you have read my blog: 7498746545789765465497942128726875168479821987

Happy New Year 2006!!
