Back from KL!
So last night I got back from KL. So let me tell ya’all all bout my trip there. Ok, lets start on the first day. Went to the bus station at Sungai Nibong at 8.00 am!! Man, waking up early is a bitch I tell you. But luckily I didn’t have a long wait for the bus, so by 8.30 we(Damien, Jia Hua, Pei Wah, Yee Wen, Chie Siang, Daniel and I) were on our way. The journey was a painstaking 5 hours and I just want to state I don’t like sleeping on a bus! So we reached KL at around 1-ish and took a cab to Agora Hotel. Now from what I had seen from the hotel’s website, the suite that we booked looked a little above average which was fine by me, but the room looked nothing like the picture. When we first went into the room there was this really musky smell in the room. Ew. Plus the ceiling looked like there was water leaking from it but the worst was the fact that we were going to have to make do with 2 beds and 7 people, but a bit more on that later.
So after we checked in, we went shopping!! First place was Sungai Wang. The place didn’t really have much to offer so I just kinda tagged along to see if there was anything interesting. Oh yea, before that we had lunch. A RM6 lunch…… Anyway, after SW, we headed over to Low Yat, an electronic heaven, so to speak. Since electronics weren’t really my thing I tagged along too. Then after that we went to Berjaya Times Square. That was where the fun began. So Jia Hua, Chie Siang, Damien and I went to the theme park while the rest went shopping. There, we went on the roller coaster until my head was spinning. Had some nauseating fun there for about 3 hours until we finally had enough, then after dinner we headed back to the hotel.
Ok, back at the hotel, Pei Wah & Yee Wen had the queen bed while Daniel & Chie Siang had the king. The bed could actually fit another person but I don’t really think anyone relished sleeping nex to those two. So Jia Hua & Damien slept on armchairs and I slept on the floor. Sleeping would have been much easier if Chie Siang didn’t break out in sudden conversations throughout the night. Even I was amazed how I managed to cram in 5 hours of sleep that night.
So on the nex day, we headed over to Midvalley. Nothing much there either EXCEPT that I had one of the best ice cream cones in my entire life. There’s this stall in the basement where an ang moi was stirring what I had first thought to be some kind of broth, but was actually ice cream! Jia Hua and I each bought a cone at RM3 each, but damn that was a RM3 well spent. The ice cream was really really good. The whole thing didn’t seem to melt as fast as other ice creams and when you took a bite out of it you could literally chew it for a bit before it melted on you tongue. Mmmmm….
Ok, so next, we went to KLCC. There I went to Kinokuniya! YAY! Man, it was like I died and went to book heaven! Tons and tons of books there, all waiting to be read or browsed. I spent a lot of time there looking for books and I choose about 10 books to be bought, but that amounted to a whopping RM 350!! So I had to make some cuts which was really hard coz I wanted to get all of them T_T. Sob.
So in the end I whittled it down to RM 200 worth of books. Oh yea, I also bought this adorable wrist rest shaped like a dog >.<
Then came the last day, seeing as 1 Utama was too far from where we were, the group decided to go back to Berjaya again to go window shopping since most of our time there was spent roller coastering. Then back to Penang.
Well, this had to be my most boring post yet, so I guess I should insert a witty comment about now to spice things up. <insert witty comment here>. Heh heh, witty ain’t it? : )
Good hunting.
